Comes A Time…

… when the cellar is warmer than the kitchen in the morning.  Yesterday was the first time this season– kitchen at 64º, cellar a bit warmer.  It’s achieved “fall crispness” outside (55º), the apples are ripe, the sun is slanting lower every day, and soon the sounds of a million furnace switches will be heard throughout the land.  But not at this house.
