First Fire

Well, I guess it had to happen.  It got down to 56-point-something inside, and someone lit a fire.  Happy fire season.

Strange. You don’t sound very happy about fire season.

    And so it begins…

Seems we’re aboit two weeks or so behind you in the Philly area. My indoor temp has been about 62, but recently dropped to 60ish in the morning. BUT the winter is a comin’…the temps are dropping considerably tonight through early next week. I had wanted to see if I could hold out on turning on my heat (oil) until November — it looks like sub-60 and the start of November should perfectly align.

I think you should install doors and locks, if someone snuck into your house and started a fire ; )

Perhaps a lock on the moving “item” rather than a stationary item? 🙂 Couldn’t resist. And I don’t blame the moving “item” — sub-56 inside is cooooold.

It was 54 in the house (just down the road a piece from Cold House) when we woke up today, so I cranked the heat up to 58 for a few hours. I really hoped we’d make it to 11/1.

haven’t turned the heat on yet or built a fire in Pittsburgh, PA but my fingers are getting to the point where its difficult to type. Trying to make it through the whole month of October with neither.
